How to make a Lai

How to make a Lei!!!

A lei is the Hawaiian word for garland or wreath in this case it is made to be worn around the neck (plumerias are often used but other flowers can be used as well) as decoration, to act as jewelry or an accessorie, its perfume qualities or simply to enhance our natural beauty. Its simple this is what you will need...
Doll needles are super long and will help you when stringing your flowers.
I love these!!! Beautiful yellow and white plumerias. They have the sweetest smell in the world!
Pink and red plumerias are rich in color and scent often having a much fruitier smell then the white and yellow!
A roll a regular sewing string.
Loop your string as if you were going to sew any patch or whatever you may sew up,
Measure your string long enough so that your lei will fit over your head nice and easy, then tie a knot at the end of your string.
Now you can begin stringing your lei. Start by poking your needle through the opening at the bottom of the flower and pull your needle through the other side.
Keep stringing until you have a few inches left on your string then tie a knot with the needle and opposite end of your lei.

VoilĂ !
